Introduction

When you’ve been with a client since 2010, you get to know their business inside out. That’s exactly the case with FlevoDirect — a recruitment agency in Zeewolde and Lelystad. After designing their first website and full branding more than a decade ago, it was time for a refresh. This time, the focus was on creating a custom recruitment website design with ATS integration, allowing the team to automate workflows and manage vacancies more efficiently. The solution also included a mobile-friendly job listing UX to ensure seamless navigation for candidates on any device.

The challenge

FlevoDirect had outgrown their older site. The branding was solid, the content still relevant — but the tools? A little rusty.

They needed:

  • A tighter, smoother vacancy flow
  • A mobile-friendly experience for job seekers
  • Integration with RecruitNow’s Cockpit ATS, without losing control over their CMS setup

On top of that, they didn’t want a redesign from scratch. We delivered a custom recruitment website design with ATS integration, ensuring seamless RecruitNow Cockpit integration while maintaining their live environment with real job openings, users, and business impact.

A real-world digital puzzle

Imagine this: You’re juggling two locations, daily job updates, applicants from all corners of the country — and doing half the admin manually. That was FlevoDirect’s situation.

So, they turned to us again. Because when things get technical and visual, they know we get it done without drama. They wanted a custom recruitment website design with ATS integration that kept things efficient and seamless.

Oh, and they wanted to stick with WordPress — creating a WordPress recruitment website with an ATS system doing the heavy lifting behind the scenes.

Of course, it all had to feel like FlevoDirect: friendly, clear, and a little sharper than the average uitzendbureau.

What we actually did

Integrated RecruitNow’s Cockpit ATS

We linked all the core widgets:

  • Open Inschrijving (open applications)
  • Sollicitatieformulier (custom application forms)
  • Jobalert (email alerts for jobs)

These widgets don’t always play nice with existing designs — so we custom-coded layouts to match FlevoDirect’s visual identity. Everything was styled to feel native, not embedded.

Smarter job listings and filters

We rebuilt the job overview to:

  • Automatically pull in jobs from Cockpit
  • Allow filtering by location, hours, or field
  • Stay responsive across devices

Search and apply in 3 taps? Check. It’s all part of creating a mobile-friendly job listing UX that works seamlessly for users.

UX and design polish

  • We gave the whole site a subtle facelift:
    • Adjusted spacing, typography and visual rhythm
    • Focused on readability, especially on mobile
    • Updated micro-interactions for filters and calls to action

No reinvention here. Just a solid refresh that makes the content breathe again.

    Backend workflow support

We made sure the FlevoDirect team could:

    • Add or remove landing pages with ease
    • Use redirects from the ATS without SEO losses
    • Track user actions better post-application

This custom recruitment website design with ATS integration ensures tech works for people — not the other way around.
