Mission EineWelt UX design project showcasing nonprofit projects
Live website At Studio Ubique, we partnered with KUBE Studio to revamp the website for Mission EineWelt, a missionary initiative of the Protestant church.

The previous site struggled with unclear navigation, poor structure, and outdated design. Our mission was to deliver a modern, user-friendly experience that upheld their core brand identity while enhancing functionality and clarity.

Objectives

KUBE Studio approached us with a clear mission: to modernize and simplify the website for Mission EineWelt. The existing platform was cluttered and overwhelming, making navigation a challenge for visitors.

Our goal?

  • Create a clean, well-structured, and visually engaging website that reflects Mission EineWelt’s core values and identity.
  • Implement modern UX principles to enhance usability.
  • Develop a flexible design system that allows KUBE Studio’s team to easily scale the design across additional sections.
  • Ensure the website is accessible and user-friendly, even with its extensive categories and content.

To bring this vision to life, we designed three essential pages and a mega menu, serving as the foundation for the revamped site.

Our approach

1. Homepage

The homepage was designed to showcase Mission EineWelt’s core offerings while maintaining straightforward and intuitive navigation. Its structure focuses on:

  • A streamlined header featuring a prominent call-to-action for urgent news or key projects.
  • A concise introduction to Mission EineWelt’s mission and vision.
  • An informative section outlining the organization’s primary focus areas.
  • A dynamic news section highlighting current campaigns, press releases, donation initiatives, and job opportunities.
  • A featured area bringing attention to the three most important sections of the website.
  • Engaging calls-to-action encouraging users to get involved, whether through donations or collaboration.
  • A newsletter signup option alongside accessible contact information.

The wireframes were meticulously designed to deliver a clean, user-friendly layout, balancing visual appeal with clear, compelling content for maximum impact.

2. Partner churches in Africa

Mission EineWelt collaborates with five partner churches in Africa, and they needed a dedicated space to showcase their work. We designed a comprehensive section that includes:

  • A sticky sidebar providing easy access to contact information.
  • A well-organized overview of the five partner churches.
  • An image gallery highlighting the real-world impact of their initiatives.
  • A cross-linking feature to strengthen partnerships.
  • A dedicated area for Kiswahili language learning resources.
  • A section spotlighting local projects supported by Mission EineWelt.
  • A prominent donation call-to-action to inspire support for their mission.

3. Event blog post template (event detail page)

To streamline event promotion and registration, we created a thoughtfully designed blog post template that:

  • Showcases event details prominently with a featured image, title, and concise description.
  • Includes an intuitive booking button for hassle-free sign-ups.
  • Provides an FAQ accordion section to address common questions.
  • Concludes with a contact form to encourage participation and engagement.

4. Mega menu

With a vast number of pages to navigate, we developed a well-organized mega menu to enhance user experience. The design strikes a perfect balance between functionality and aesthetics, ensuring visitors can easily locate what they need without feeling overwhelmed.

Collaborating with KUBE Studio

Our partnership with KUBE Studio was rooted in clear communication and a seamless workflow:

  1. Kick-off & planning: we began by reviewing the project scope, wireframes, and branding elements to establish a solid foundation.
  2. Design development: starting with the homepage, we crafted the core visual style. Once approved, we applied the same design principles across all other pages for consistency.
  3. Iterative feedback: regular check-ins with KUBE Studio ensured the designs were refined and stayed true to Mission EineWelt’s vision.
  4. Final delivery: we delivered fully responsive designs in Adobe XD, optimized for both desktop (1920px) and mobile (375px/424px) resolutions.

Final Results

The result? A sleek, modern, and user-friendly design that perfectly encapsulates the spirit of Mission EineWelt’s work.

Highlights:

  • Intuitive, well-organized UX for effortless navigation.
  • Clear, compelling CTAs that drive engagement and inspire donations.
  • Scalable templates enabling KUBE Studio’s team to efficiently launch new pages.
  • A refreshed, contemporary look that stays true to Mission EineWelt’s brand identity.
